Juke the Romanian Rescue – Anxious Dog Photography in yorkshire

Juke is a wonderful Romanian Rescue, and serves his community by being a soothing balm for other anxious and reactive dogs in his surroundings. The first time I met Juke, his Mum was kind enough to let our spiciest pup (Poppy) join Juke for a neutral walk - and not long after that he became acquainted with our older Dog Marty.

We choose to go to Haw Park Woodland in Yorkshire, the side we visited was much quieter and had lower footfall which gave Juke (who can be anxious about people) a safety net to be himself.

Before Juke’s experience we made sure that he had opportunities to meet me in a neutral environment to build a rapport before asking him to work with me on experience, this is just one way we can help anxious dogs show their real personality on experience.

This was particularly important for keeping Juke’s welfare and well-being at the heart of his experience, as we wanted him to show himself off in the best light and not become stressed or shutdown due to the work we were doing together.

Juke’s Mum purchased a stunning acrylic of this image, and it has pride of place for every visitor who comes in the house to see.
